The History of Blue Cord Plumbing
Building Trust, One Repair at a Time
The foundation of Blue Cord Plumbing is rooted in service and passion, starting in 2003 when founder Curtis Michaels first stepped into the trade at a local plumbing company. This opportunity quickly developed into a deep commitment to the craft and a focus on water quality, which he pursued until 2014 when he was called to serve as a U.S. Army Infantryman. Curtis honorably served with the 101st Airborne Division, including a deployment to Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve. After leaving the military in 2018, he returned to plumbing, quickly rising to the position of Senior Service Technician. His dedication to service and his expertise eventually led him to start his own successful company in Tennessee. In 2023, seeking to be closer to family, he moved back to Indiana and established Blue Cord Plumbing.
Curtis founded Blue Cord Plumbing to fill a gap he identified in the local market: the need for a truly trustworthy plumbing service defined by integrity. The mission is to provide high-quality residential plumbing, prioritizing long-term relationships over short-term financial gains. This means homeowners can expect clear, honest communication and fair, consistent pricing, eliminating any pressure to purchase unneeded services.
